Hello.

I’m Jaclyn Hoffmann — a product designer and artist based in Winnipeg, MB. I graduated in 2023 with a Bachelor in Applied Interior Design from Mount Royal University in Calgary, AB. While at MRU, I developed a strong foundation in concept development, spatial planning, and design software like AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Enscape. I believe the CIDA-accredited program has shaped my creative process, encouraging me to think critically, push boundaries, and bring ideas to life with both creativity and technical skill.

Feature Project

MRU Thesis, 2023

This project reimagines a pediatric cancer care facility in downtown Calgary, inspired by shinrin-yoku — the Japanese practice of forest bathing. The goal was to bring the calming power of nature into a clinical setting, creating a space that feels safe, comforting, and restorative for children and their families.

A central atrium feature wall acts as the heart of the space — a focal point that brings light, texture, and a forest-like presence into the interior. The design is meant to encourage relaxation, imagination, and healing.
